A Message of Hope and Achievement

When we share stories about our inmates earning their HiSET diplomas and completing the Moving Forward classes, we do it because we believe in second chances, personal growth, and the power of education to change lives.

Recently, we received a message that truly highlights the impact of these programs:

“Our (Wilson County) jail program is number one in the State of Tennessee for diploma recipients. Last school year, we graduated 67 individuals in the jail. I wanted to thank each of you for your dedication to the students and our community.” – Sandy Anderson, Adult Learning Center Coordinator

This incredible accomplishment is not just a number – it’s 67 lives that now have the tools to move forward, to build better futures, and to break cycles that once held them back.

We are deeply grateful to our educators, volunteers, and staff who pour their hearts into these programs, and to every individual who chooses to take that brave step toward change.

Education opens doors that once seemed closed. And together, we’re proving that transformation is possible through the leadership of Sheriff Bryan, his staff and everyone from the Adult Learning Center.
