On Saturday, July 26, our Communications Center received a call regarding a reckless driver who had run off the roadway and was continuing to drive with two flat tires. Deputies quickly responded to the area in an attempt to locate the vehicle.
While canvassing the neighborhood, Deputy Mathis located the vehicle hidden and covered at a residence. With assistance from Deputy Woods and FTO/Cpl. Klawitter, a brief investigation led to the identification of the driver—who was found to have numerous active warrants stemming from a vehicular homicide case that occurred in Metro Nashville in April of this year.
Also located inside the residence was a female who was wanted on the same charges, along with local warrants out of Sumner County.
We would like to thank these Deputies for their keen observation and persistence, as well as the community members who spoke up. Your willingness to report suspicious activity played a vital role in helping get two dangerous individuals off the streets.
If you see something, don’t hesitate to say something.
